SO, AS WE ALL KNOW HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF AND IN SOUTHERN INDIA THERE’S A DRASTIC UPSIDE DOWN IN POLITICS AFTER RAJNIKANTH HIMSELF ANNOUNCED THAT HE WOULD JOIN POLITICS AND HIS PARTY WILL CONTEST ELECTION IN ALL THE 234 SEATS OF TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY.THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME WHEN SOMEONE FROM FILM BACKGROUND IS JOINING POLITICS, MG RAMACHANDRAN POLITICAL MENTOR OF JAYALALITHAA, HAS GAIN FAME AND HAVE PLAYED CRUCIAL ROLE IN SOUTH INDIA POLITICS.
Shivaji Rao Gaekwad – “RAJNIKANTH” BORN ON 12 DEC 1950 HAVING MARATHI BACKGROUND, INITIALLY STARTED HIS CAREER AS A BUS CONDUCTOR IN BANGALORE TRANSPORT SERVICES. HE JOINED MADRAS FILM INSTITUTE AND MADE HIS FIRST DEBUT ON TAMIL DRAMA RAAGANGAL IN 1975.THEREAFTER HIS CAREER IN SOUTH INDIAN MOVIE HAS TAKEN FLIGHT WHICH ACTUALLY DIDN’T LANDED. THE UNPARALLELED RAJNIKANTH FOLLOWING IN SOUTHERN INDIA GAVE HIM HIGH POPULARITY AMONG THE PUBLIC.
RECENTLY DEATH OF JAYALALITHAA AS CM MADE DRASTIC CHANGE IN THE TAMIL NADU POLITICS, IT WAS THEN THOUGHT, THAT SOON RAJNIKANTH WOULD ANNOUNCE JOINING OF POLITICS, AS MANY BJP LEADERS MET WITH RAJNIKANTH AND IT WAS BELIEVED THAT HE WOULD BE JOINING POLITICS FROM BJP SIDE, BUT THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN & ON NEW YEAR EVE HE ANNOUNCED JOINING OF POLITICS AND REMARKED THAT HIS PARTY’S 3 MANTRAS WOULD BE DEVELOPMENT, FOLLOWING TRUTH & HARD WORK. HE INSISTED THAT HIS PARTY MEMBER WILL BE CONTESTING ALL THE ASSEMBLY SEATS OF TAMIL NADU BUT HIS PARTY WILL NOT CONTEST 2019 LOKSABHA ELECTION.SPEAKING OF MASS HE TOLD HIS AUDIENCE THAT HE WILL BE ALWAYS THERE FOR THEM AND AS NEED OF HOUR HE WILL STRIVE HONEST GOVERNANCE TO UPROOT CORRUPT PRACTICE.
BUT THE PATH FOR RAJNIKANTH WOULDN’T BE THAT EASY AS AIDMK & DMK THE MOST PROMINENT PARTY IN TAMIL NADU POLITICS COULD RAISE VOICE AGAINST RAJNIKANTH, THE BIGGEST SETBACK FOR RAJNIKANTH WOULD BE NOT BELONGING TO THE TAMILIANS BUT BORN IN MARATHI FAMILY WHICH IS SEEN AS OUTSIDER ENTERING INTO TAMIL POLITICS.BUT AS WE KNOW HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF SO IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THE NEW PLAYER WOULD IMPACT THE POLITICAL SHIFT IN SOUTHERN INDIA.
