In the midst of some challenging assignments and back to back lectures, today’s session in India Today Media Institute, turned out to be major stress buster for the students. Mr Ankit Arora , Deputy Manager and Marketer in Gionee India, visited the institute and made a powerful presence by lighting up the mood of the class. His lecture primarily highlighted the working environment in the field of marketing, specifically focusing on Below The Line and Events in mass communication. In his presentation, he mapped different branches of marketing in Media Industry and illustrated the practical aspect of the concepts related to the category of media planning, brand management and sales.
Apart from discussing these topics of interest, he also shared with students some of his experiences which taught him that “Innovation comes from what you use in your day to day lives and how you present it before your audience”. “Work hard and party harder”, which was Mr. Arora’s motto in life is the same catch-phrase he wanted the aspiring journalists to abide by in their future, with their profession acting as foremost barrier to it.
