Sahitya Aajtak 2016

With the advancement of youth towards the digital world, AAj Tak took an initiative to bring back the real essence of literature on one common platform through Sahitya AAJ Tak.

Sahitya aaj tak a literature festival announced by nation’s no.1 Hindi news channel, held in the capital city of the country was a two-day event held on 12tha and 13th of November at Indira Gandhi National for Arts.

The event was laced with poetry by veteran poets, lyricists, writer’s actors and directors of the industry.

First day commenced with Javed Akhtar addressing the audience followed by Prasoon Joshi, Ashok Vajpeyi, Mridula Garg, Neelima Chauhan, Alpana Mishra and Kumar Vishwas, Anupam Kher,  Najeeb Jung, Ravinder Singh, Rahat Indori, etc……

 

Malini Awasthi,  Hans Raj Hans, Manoj Tiwari  brought out a vibrant strength of folk music.

 

 

 

 

The face of an emerging new cinema, Anurag Kashyup addressed the audience who had held back eagerly to see him and attend his live interactive session

Talking about the fictional writers – Ravinder singh and Chetan Bhagat as fictional writers taught us how a writer’s fictional counterpart teaches us about life and a fanciful notion of literature.

Lallan Top Adda was set up to encourage writers from all walks of life to narrate their stories with amazing cash prizes for the qualifying prizes. This cool adda was graced by the presence of faces like Piyush Mishra, Anurag Kashyup, Rahat Indori shared a different phase of their journey making it a part of the story narration competition.

Trainees from India Today Media Institute (ITMI) played an active and eminent role in the organization of the event. This event bridged the gap between the top notch faces of the industry and the ITMI Team. The student engagement helped in valuable networking and a guide to the various aspects and segments of a media event.
